Patra Pat Phillips Marshall, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her home in Radford after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Lerona, West Virginia and was a seamstress for 26 years in Dublin Garment Factory. She was preceded in death by her parents Watson and Reba Davis Phillips, her husband, Andy Marshall, two brothers, Charles and Hershell Phillips, a sister, Mary Freeman, and her beloved cat, Spuds. Survivors include a son, Gregory Marshall of Radford; a daughter, Andrea Marshall of Radford; two sisters and brother-in-law, ODell and George Walker of Fairlawn, and Maude Crews of Pipestem, WVa; and four sisters-in-law, Christine McLewin, Iris Marshall, Georgeanne Marshall and Geneva Phillips.. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for all their care during her illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Marshall family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
