Pamela (Pam) Durmon Smith, 60, of Radford, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2013 at Emeritus @ Roanoke in Roanoke, due to complications from Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) and Dementia. Pam was born in Pulaski County on May 12, 1953 to the late Merle and Virginia Durmon of Pulaski. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert (Bob) Smith of Radford, her daughter Amanda (husband, Justin) and granddaughter Chloe, son Andrew (wife, Sarah) and grandson Nathan, father-in-law Bob Smith, sister-in-law Betsy Kern (husband Robert), nephew Anthony Trent and niece Carol Ann Zelley. Pam graduated from Pulaski High School in 1971 and was a stay at home mom to her two beloved children for over 20 years in Henry County. Pam enjoyed cooking, music and laughter, but most of all being with her family, friends, children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 15th, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home, 120 West Main Street, Radford with Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the service hour from Mullins Funeral Home. Special thanks to Emeritus at Roanoke nurses and caregivers in their assistance with Pam over the last several months.
