Nell Hutton Beasley, 83, of Plum Creek, died Thursday after a valiant battle with heart disease. She was a long-time member of Bethel United Methodist Church, an avid social planner and participant at the Radford meetings of the NRV Agency on Agings nutrition site, an RSVP volunteer and Jeff Gordons and Frank Beamers No. 1 fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Beasley Jr. and a son, Larry Butch Hutton. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shirlee Loan and Tom Moser of Floyd County; two granddaughters, Karen Chrestay and husband David of Dublin, OH and Kathy Loan of Mooresville, NC; and a host of extended family, loved ones and friends.Visitation will be held Sunday, 1-2 p.m., at Mullins Funeral Home, with funeral services led by Reverend Randy Morris immediately following. There will be no graveside service. The Beasley family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
