Nancy Karen Smith Heidt, 68, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her home in Dublin. She was a retired nurse with Volvo Trucks. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Gladys Smith; husband, Randall Vincent Heidt; brothers, Tommy Sarver and John Smith; and brother-in-law, Ron Heidt. Survivors include her son, Chris Heidt and Trisha; daughter, Karen Vandergrift and Michelle; granddaughters, Ava and Brooke Heidt, and Reghan and Harper Vandergrift; brothers-in-law, Roger Heidt (Diane), Ray Heidt (Henri), Russell Heidt, Richard Heidt (Kathleen Dotson-Datum), Dean Heidt (Mary), and David Heidt (Cathy); sisters-in-law, Lavonne Bender (Steve), Marietta Heidt, and Sam Heidt; aunt, Lois Hart; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Brian Cockram officiating.
