On February 9th, 2017, Myrtle Hollandsworth Marshall of Radford, Va., our precious wife, sweet Mama, and dear MawMaw, went home to be with the Lord. She so loved her family, her home, and spent hundreds of hours gardening. She was the matriarch to the success of Vaughns Nursery in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mae Hollandsworth, granddaughter, Jessica Vaughn, and brothers, Troy, Bill and Kenneth Hollandsworth. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Carmon Marshall; two daughters, Janet (Steve) Bishop of Radford and Sherry (Danny) Vaughn of Radford; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Scott) Keith of Blacksburg, Kristen (Scott) Lucas of Charleston, S. C. and Justin (Emily) Vaughn of Winston Salem, N. C.; great grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel and Kora Keith of Blacksburg, Liam and Mallory Lucas of Charleston, S.C., and Kerrigan, Gracie, Bowman, Graham and Anderson Vaughn of Winston-Salem, N. C.; sisters-in-law, Vera, Mabel and Muriel Hollandsworth, and Sylva Minnick. We would like to thank our special caregivers Mellissa Sweeney, Shelby Epperly, and Sharon Oliver. We thank Brittney and Terry of Amedisys Hospice Care and the doctors and nurses of Carilion NRV Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Bethel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Lorton and Rev. Randy Morris officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
