Minnie Mickey Harris Adams Fitting, 93 of Radford, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Radford and a member of Friends Forever also Radford Historical Society. She was a veteran Stationed in Norman, Oklahoma were she trained Nurses for departure to the South Pacific in WWII she was also a School Teacher having taught at Iowa State and Auburn High School. She wrote and Published a book named Radford Letter / titled A Radford Family History. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather Dr. John Blair Radford; father and mother, Radford Carter and Mancye Doyle Adams; two sisters, Elizabeth Small and Little Sister; two brothers, Lucian Adams and Radford Adams; a son Robert Eric Fitting; and her husband Robert D. Fitting. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Kent and Darlene Fitting of Riner; two grandsons and spouse, Chris and Stacy Fitting of TX; Brad A. Fitting of Texas; granddaughter and spouse, Betsy and Meryl Walters of TX; Jason Fitting of Flagstaff, AZ; step-grandson, Matthew Gardner of Riner; step-granddaughter, Teresa East of Riner; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Maria Fitting of Flagstaff, AZ; special caregiver, Dianna Salmon of Radford.
