Michael Stevenson Smith, Sr. 58, of Radford, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home in Radford. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Survivors include a son, Michael Smith, Jr., Blacksburg; daughter and son-in-law, Denael and Joseph Lebron, San Antonio, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John P. and Deanna Smith, Jr., Bland and William F. and Janice Smith, Charlotte, NC; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca E. and Michael Adeniji, Houston, Texas and Donna O. and Larry Irvin, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Dalilah, Ashley and Dominic; beloved companion and lifelong love, Betty P. Smith, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, at 12:00 noon at the Radford Church of God in Christ with Dr. Ronald Watson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the Church. The Smith family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
