Melissa (Missy) Gail Stump Ratcliffe, 48, of Pulaski, left her earthly body at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born January 20, 1967 and follows her parents: Henry James Stump and Alice Gallimore Lawson to the Heavenly Kingdom. Missy is survived by her dogs, Boo-Boo and Jack; and sisters, Lynn, Marsha and Brianne. She also leaves behind a very special wicked step-mother, Michele; brother in law, Rocky; niece, Leanna; nephews, Rocky, Dakota and Colten; and great nephew, Levi. She will be greatly missed by many other family members, loved ones and friends. Missy was always thinking of others more than herself and is known as a rescuer of strays. Both four legged and two legged creatures had a place of refuge. Everyone that knew Missy, knew that her dogs were her world. We ask in lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal shelter or Humane Society so that she can live in the hearts of her dogs and loved ones. We are working very hard to honor her wishes. Her instructions were to be cremated and taken to her mother. For anyone that wishes to remember her, the family will receive visitors and celebrate her life on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the lower level of Faith Bible Church, 110 Lagrange St. Pulaski, VA.
