Mavis Hobbs Collier, 88 of Radford, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 in Ashland Health and Rehab. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond W. Collier. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Geraldine and Gardner Corey of Richmond; three sons and daughters-in-law Orbin and Helen Collier, and Manuel and Geneva Collier, all of Dublin, and Gordon Collier of FL; three sisters and brothers-in-law Marie and Ben Collier of Radford, Reva and Chuck Chappell of Great Falls, Montana, and Geneva Kiser of Sterling; a brother Harrison Hobbs of Dublin; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Jim Sporkin officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Collier family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
