Mary Jenks Wilson, 85, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at her home in Riner. She was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church for 41 years and retired from nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Wilson. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janis W. LaForce and Larry W. Haulman of Christiansburg and Alice and Daniel M. Wilson of Axton; brother Charles Jenks of Dublin; sister Linda Siner of Salem; three grandchildren Shannon Wilson Rein, Tucker LaForce, and Tommy LaForce; and two great-grandchildren, Faith and Parker LaForce. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11 am at the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with Rev. Paul Goshorn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday evening at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. View United Methodist Church, 6648 Wilderness Rd, Dublin, VA 24084 or Carilion Hospice, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. The Wilson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
