Mary Phyllis Semple, 91, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her home in Radford. Phyllis was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Charles Gerolstein and Mary Agnes Takacs Gerolstein; and her husband, Charles Christopher Semple.

Survivors include her children, Chris (Denise) Semple, Tim (Nancy) Semple, Jen Mooney, and Jill (Ken) Torbeck; grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Semple, Ryan Semple, Megan (Brandon) Thompson, Colin (Shaina) Semple, Cooper Semple, Evan (Erica) Mooney, Katie Mooney (Riley Murtagh), Jake Semple, Abby (Tomislav) Minic, and Andy Schlichting (Reagan Shourds); 6 great grandchildren and one on the way, Ella, Lily, Phelan, Evelynn, Aidan and Asher; siblings, Philip (Joanie) Gerolstein, and John Gerolstein; and many other relatives and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Grace Episcopal Church in Radford with Pastor William Yagel officiating.

The Semple family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
