Mary M. Nester, 80, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with her children by her side. Formerly of Radford, Virginia, she enjoyed her lifelong love of sewing. Mary leaves behind her children, Lucinda Nester of Richmond, R. Scott Nester of Chesapeake and Jennifer Ashbrook (Frank) of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Ashbrook. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Lewis Nester. At Marys request, a funeral service will not be held. A private graveside service for family members will be held on Saturday, November 25th at 11:00 a.m. in Browns Cemetery, Belspring, Virginia.
