Obituary

Mary Eunice Tice McClaugherty is free from pain today. Mrs. McClaugherty was born December 18, 1925 in Belspring. The daughter of the late I. W. and Bessie Tice, she lived her entire life in the community she loved. She was an active member of the Belspring Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder. She was active in the Presbyterian Womens work. Mary worked at Lynchburg Foundry and Radford Arsenal, but her joy was driving the school bus for Pulaski County School Board for twelve years before her retirement. Mary will be greatly missed by her family, church, community and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Andy McClaugherty, sister, Elizabeth Tice Akers, and brothers, Ward, Alton, and Harold. She is survived by her devoted son, A. W. McClaugherty, of Radford; grandson, Andrew McClaugherty of Radford; one sister-in-law, Claudine Tice of Belspring; nephews, John and Pat Tice of Blacksburg and David Tice of Wisconsin; niece Cindy Tice White and Lynn of Dublin; and six great nephews and one great niece. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belspring Presbyterian Church with Rev. Laura Gentry and Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The McClaugherty family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
