Mary Duncan Laxton, 76, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her home in Christiansburg. She was a member of Bain Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Noah Bain and Hayden Laxton and a daughter, Sandra Bain. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and David Harrison, and Tracy and Russell Brewster, all of Christiansburg; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Roger Semones of Christiansburg, Martha and Roy Lytton of Radford, Susie and Cecil Lytton of Radford, and Frances and Roger Wade of Christiansburg; and grandchildren, Cory, Beth and Stephan Whitaker, and Colton and Madison Brewster. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 17, 2011 at 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Bain Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4527 Bain Chapel Road, Radford, VA 24141.
