Mary Eleanor Bradley Calfee, 88, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at her home in Radford. She was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and retired with nearly 30 years of service with the Department of the Army, including RDAISA. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Calfee. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John Temple and Lillian Calfee of Ithaca, NY; niece and her husband, Mary Jane and Jack Burn of Pearisburg; great nieces and their husbands, Sara and Jesse Skaggs of Lancaster, PA and Jennifer and Evan Sommerfeld of Surry; nephew and his wife, James William and Kaye Bradley of Salem; several other nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews, Micah, Jonas and Levi. The family wishes to thank Carilion Clinic Hospice, especially Heather and Lindsey, Tracie's caregivers, especially Tina and Margie, and Mrs. Anna Frye for their special kindness and consideration during this trying time. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Karen Lane officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Grove UMC, 1020 Tyler Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
