Mary Ellen McPeak Burleson, 73, of Pembroke, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at her daughters home in Radford. She was retired from Wolverine Gasket. Survivors include her special companion of 33 years, Larry Williams of Pembroke; four sons, Harley Peanut Burleson, Wayne Burleson and David Burleson, all of Pembroke, and Russell Burleson of Radford; two daughters, Laura Cissy Moore of Fairlawn and Sonia Hodge of Radford; sister Bobby Jewell of Radford; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Michael Bond and Rev. John Tibbs officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 6th at 11 am in the Burleson and Williams Cemetery in Pembroke. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. The Burleson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
