Mary Funkhouser Beasley, 71, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Rodney Eugene and Connie Roop Funkhouser and her husband Richard Robert Beasley. Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law, Michael R. Beasley and friend Leona Turner of Floyd; Mark R. Beasley and friend Dreama Rhodes of Christiansburg; Kenneth E. and Melissa Beasley of Riner; six grandchildren; one step-grandson; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephew. Special thanks to nieces Debby Wolfe, Rebekah Nottingham and Cadyce McCann. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Snider officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Beasley family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
