Martin Marty Edgar Talbott, 84, of Pulaski, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born April 12, 1926 in Fairmont, WVA, the sixth child of D. Fred and Bettie Ice Talbott. Mr. Talbott was educated in the Marion County, WVA public schools and following service in WWII in the U. S. Navy, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairmont State College. He taught in the public schools in Fairmont for several years before joining Union Carbide Corporation in Charleston, WVA where he worked as a draftsman for more than 25 years. Following retirement he moved to Dublin. On August 25, 1951 in Pulaski he married Dorothy Dottie Alma Leache who predeceased him on March 4, 2010. Mr Talbott is survived by one sister, Bettie Jane Hamilton of Huntersville, NC and by several nephews and nieces. A private graveside service in Barrackville, WVA will be held at a later date. The Talbott family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
