Martin Luther Garnder, Jr., 79, of Radford, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford. He was born on August 22, 1946, in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Simone Gardner; father, Martin Luther Garnder, Sr.; and his mother, Ruby Turner Shank.

Survivors include his sister, Ouida Poff of Pulaski; brother, Blaine Shank of Roanoke; and his stepdaughter, Marie Murray of Frankfort, KY.

A private graveside service will be held at Woodhaven Cemetery in Powell, Tennessee at a later date.
