Martha Lou Boyd Carpenter, 82, of Christiansburg, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Neil and Mary Beauchamp Boyd; her husband, James "Bud" Lee Carpenter, Sr.; and her grandson, Jacob Carpenter. Martha is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Lee Carpenter, Jr. (Molly), Neil Carpenter (Jennifer), and Eric Carpenter (Bonnie); grandchildren, Keefe Carpenter, Elsie Carpenter, and Sarah Carpenter; brother and sister-in-law, James Neil Boyd, Jr. (Vickie); sisters, Mary Ellen Jenkins and Elizabeth Daniels; and many other family members and friends.
