Marshall Jesse Richardson, 88, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home in Radford. He was retired from Harvey's Chevrolet and a WWII Army veteran having served during WWII. He was a member of the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Dot Richardson of Radford; children and their partners, M. J. Richardson, Jr. and Janie Lefever of North Carolina, John A. and Wanda Richardson of Wirtz, and Lenora and Jerry Williams and Karen Richardson, all of Radford; sister, Ann Halbert of Elizabeth City, NC; and 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Intrepid Hospice and his special caretakers, Barbara, Sue, Shanna, Marsha and Dr. Judy. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5 until 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm with Rev. Don Peters officiating and VFW Post #776 will conduct military rites. Graveside services will be held 10 am, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Rocky Mount, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Intrepid Hospice, 520 West Main St., Radford, VA 24141. The Richardson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory, Radford.
