Marie Shaffer Hussey, 83, of Radford, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner Hussey and her parents, Basil and Lola Godby Shaffer, and also by 2 brothers, Charles and Jessie Shaffer and two sisters, June Shaffer Duncan and Pauline Shaffer Ayers. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Stephanie Hussey of Radford, William and Julia Duncan of Marion, and Richard Bragg of Appleton, WI; two sisters and brothers-in-law Shelby and Andy Farmer of Fairlawn and Burma and Leon Smith of Portsmouth; and several grand and great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor William Ratcliffe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions be made to the charity of your choice. The Hussey family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
