Margaret Evelyn Mills Stoots, 80, of Belspring, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Fairlawn. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Mills, her husband, Ralph Stoots, and an infant brother. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph Kenneth and Shirlee Stoots of Fairlawn; daughters and son-in-law, Debra and Kenneth Roan of Dublin, and Sandra Nelson of Fairlawn; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Shanon Nelson, Tracie and PJ Tremblay, and Matt and Malory Roan; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brother Howard Mills and Peggy, and their family; sister-in-law Virginia Kesterson: and special friends Lois Stoots, Bonnie Alexander, and Wayne Sarver. The family would like to send a special thanks to Margaret Keffer, Helen Bland, and all those who cared for her at Commonwealth Assisted Living and Good Samaritan Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Highland Memory Gardens.
