Margaret Shelton Prescott, 78, of Floyd, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by two children, Brenda Stevens and Danny Prescott, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Donna Prescott and Larry and Edna Prescott, all of Floyd; two daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Cundiff of Dublin and Margaret and Robert Farmer of Radford; brother, Robert Lee Shelton of Florida; her best friends, former husband and his wife, Sherwood and Lois Prescott of Radford; a special friend, Trish Dalton; and 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Nathan Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the Snowville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
