Margaret Kirtner Hypes, age 83, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Gordon Hypes, her parents Charles Milton (Mary Ruth) Kirtner and a brother John Kirtner. She is survived by two brothers Herbert (Faye) Kirtner of Pilot, and John (Carolyn) Kirtner of Riner; and three children, daughter Sue (John) Bowman of Riner and sons Steve (Drew) Hypes of Scottsboro, Alabama, and Michael (Julia Ann) Hypes of Morehead, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Tom Bonn presiding. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Carilion Hospice 702 Randolph Street Suite 210 Radford, Virginia 24141. Interment will follow at the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Hypes family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
