Margaret Jennell Callahan, 92, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at her home in Radford. She grew up in Belspring and then moved to Washington, DC where she lived for 52 years before moving back to Radford in 2001 after the death of her husband Jesse P. Callahan. She retired from the accounting department of Riggs National Bank after 30 years of service. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Frank W. and Carrie G. Jennell, a sister Edith J. Cromer, three brothers Russell J., Frank W., Jr., and Orville H. Jennell, and a nephew Ronald W. Cromer. Survivors include a nephew Guy E. Cromer, Jr. of Pulaski; and numerous other nieces, great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to thank all of Margarets special caregivers especially Cindy and Amanda for all their loving kindness given to her during her illness. We would also like to thank Dr. Matt Skewes and his staff for the special care given to Margaret. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. The Callahan family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
