Obituary

Manley Everett Corvin, 89, of Radford, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016. He was born April 3, 1926 in Wythe County to the late Floyd M. and Cora Kincer Corvin. He was also predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Irene Pannell Corvin and brothers, Argel B. Corvin and E. Bryson Corvin. Manley is survived by two nieces, Becky C. Jackson of Max Meadows and Vicky C. Williams of Crockett; three nephews, Terry Corvin, Larry Corvin and Jerry Corvin; brother-in-law and his wife, Robert L. and Helen G. Pannell; five special nephews and three nieces by marriage; and numerous other relatives and friends. Manley was a member of First Christian Church. He worked for eight years for N&W Railroad as a crane operator and retired from New River Textiles after 34 years of service. He was kind and respectful to everyone and loved by many, especially his family. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. Memorials may be made to Shriner Childrens Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.
