Obituary

Majella Hollandsworth Myers, 78, of Pulaski, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012. She spent her lifetime loving and nurturing her children and the many young people she met on her journey. After retirement as assistant administrator of Pulaski County High School, she helped open a charter school at Tamassee DAR in South Carolina. She touched many lives and her mission had always been to provide children with a sense of hope, self-worth, education and the tools to succeed. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert Clive and Ruby Quesenberry Hollandsworth, a son, Charles Myers, and a brother, Herbert Hollandsworth. Survivors include her children, Elizabeth June Bowman of Akron, OH and Michael Lee Myers of Arcadia, SC; her surrogate daughters, Beth, Stephanie and Michelle; grandchildren, Michael Myers, Jr., William Bowman and Katherian Andrews; great granddaughters, Isabelle Bowman and Elizabeth Andrews; siblings, Ruth, Bessie, June, Joyce, Joan, Ardith, Randolph and Larry. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G.
