Mackie Haven Beasley, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at his home in Radford. He was a retired line foreman from RAAP with 35 years of service and also owner of Bent Tree Ranch on Johns Creek in Craig County, Virginia. He was an avid hunter and lover of bluegrass music. He was a Radford High School Class of 1948 graduate and #24 on the Bobcat Football squad. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Arthur Beasley, and his parents Floyd Heath and Joanna Ellen Cochran Beasley. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Ingle of Troutville; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sandra Beasley of Radford; sister and brother-in-law, Frankie and L. B. Chapman of Roanoke; three grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Karamy Kelley Ingle, Susan Shumate, and Daniel and Ashley Beasley; and six great-grandchildren, Leah Mackenzie Shumate, Lauren Makayla Shumate, Karyss Hannah Ingle, Ryan Daniel Shumate, Hayley Haven Shumate, and Kelley Morgan Ingle. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. O. D. Morgan and Rev. Brian Cockram officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will appreciate flowers or contributions may be made to the Crooked Road Foundation, 851 French Moore Jr. Blvd, Suite 146 Abington, Virginia 24210 or the Carilion Hospice, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Beasley family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
