Lynn Marie (ne Witte) Cunningham, 66, passed away on 10/18/2016 at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, VA. Lynn was born in Milwaukee, WI to Otto and June Witte on 12/29/1949. She received her Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas. On 10/18/1980, she married Dr. Don "Doc" Cunningham. She worked for years as a computer programmer until her retirement. In 2003, she became Grand Adah of the Pansy, IL Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid philanthropist, most recently volunteering with the City of Radford Beautification Committee; Relay for Life; Womans Club of Radford; VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and was a supporter of the Reading is Fundamental Program. She held multiple offices within these organizations. Lynns favorite hobbies included scrapbooking, needlework, and playing bridge. She also loved to travel. In the last three years, she toured much of the United States and Europe with friends and family. Most recently, she enjoyed redecorating her home. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and June Witte and her husband, Dr. Don "Doc" Cunningham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Sonia Cunningham; daughter, Sarah Cunningham; granddaughter, Eliyana; her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Wayne and Judy Witte; and her dachshund, Radford. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 10/20/2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Order of the Eastern Star ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, 10/21/2016, at Grove United Methodist Church. The graveside service will be held immediately after the funeral at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA. A light meal will be provided for family and friends at Grove United Methodist Church after the graveside service.
