Lula Mae Simmons, 82, of Pulaski, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nevel Lee and Bertie Ellen McPeak Burch, her husband, Charlie Jackson Simmons, a sister and two brothers. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Allen and Pam Burch, and Charles Wayne Simmons, all of Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Renee and Brian Shumate of Draper; grandchildren, Korey Shumate, and Makayla Bookout; brother, David Burch of Dublin; sisters, Joyce Hurst of Newbern, Aldah Wright of Pulaski, and Margaret Anderson of Newbern; and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. The Simmons family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia. Announced at a later date.
