Lucille Hopkins Thompson, of Dublin, passed away on January 31, 2016, at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Bethric Hopkins, and her husband, James Edward Thompson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Denny Sowers; a son, James Thompson Jr.; her grandchildren, Scott Shomaker, Katelyn and Sarah Thompson, Cara Estes, and Justin Sowers; and great-grandchildren, Braden Dekle and Victoria Estes; and brothers and sisters, Shelby Hopkins, Luther Hopkins, Louis Hopkins, Viola Viars, Andrew Hopkins and Ruth Crawford. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Stacy C. Cope officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
