Lorraine Parks Hash, 90, of Dublin, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was a member of Dublin Baptist Church since 1952 and was co-owner of Buttonwood Dairy Farm. She volunteered at Radford Community Hospital for 25 years, was a charter member of the Wilderness Road Museum, and was a member of the New River Historical Society. Lorraine loved traveling, reading, puzzles, cooking and spending time with her rambunctious family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barnett and Gladys Parks; husband, Robert Kyle Hash; son-in-law, Douglas McDaniel; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister, Wilma Adams; and brother, Roy Parks. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Gloria Hash of Clemmons, NC, and Bobby and Teresa Hash of Dublin; four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda McDaniel and Arnold Davis of Dublin, Mary Alice and Buck Whisenant of Floyd, Carol and Ted Hodge of Pulaski, and Rebecca and Peter Zandvliet of Naugatuck, Conn.; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; sister, Sue McAllister of Marion; and sister-in-law, Louise Parks of Marion. Highland Ridge Rehab Center Staff provided a loving, warm environment during her stay and the family is forever appreciative. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Dublin Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Jones and Pastor Andrew Taylor-Troutman officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
