Lonnie Richard Caldwell, 98, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019. He retired from Volvo as a mechanic and was a member at the Christian Growth Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank William Caldwell and Florence Belle Brown and other family members. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Alta Davis Caldwell of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Crystal Caldwell of Christiansburg; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Arthur Duarte of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Eliot and Sofia Caldwell and Michael and Daniel Duarte; sisters, Evelyn Vaught of Roanoke and Charlsie Scott of Penn.; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg.
