Lloyd E. France, 67, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2012 at his home in Pulaski County surrounded by his family. He was born October 23, 1944 in Roanoke County to the late Joseph H. and Lelia F. France. He was a member of Auburn Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Veteran having served six years during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Alma Louis France and Barbara N. Looney. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patty W. France of Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia A. and Tim Hicks of Cartersville, GA, Terry L. and Donnie Doss of Floyd, and Missy Graham of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Joy France of Floyd; brothers, Larry France of Roanoke County and Joseph France of Roanoke; sister, Brenda Peyton of Salem and her husband Raymond who was also his best friend of over 20 years; grandchildren, Darren Lalley, Kayla and Landon Pugh, Jamie Dowdy, Jacob Graham, Marissa Graham, and Gabriel France; and many, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. A full military graveside service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. The France family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
