Linda "Pie" Carroll Holliday, 72, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home in Dublin. She was born in Anjean, W.Va. to John Viro Holliday and Edna Mills Holliday. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Arnold Lee Holliday. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy McBride Meredith (Anthony) of Riner; son, Freddie Dean Nester, Jr. (Stephanie) of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Rosetta and Barrett Bain of Dublin; brother, Tex Holliday of Pulaski; 7 grandchildren, Savannah Leeman (Nicholas), Jarrett McBride (Tori), Eli Nester, Sam Nester, and Gabe Nester; special grandchildren, Brittany Lawson and Joshua Bain; special great grandchildren, Chloe Lawson, Connor Lawson and Sophia Bain; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for all the love and care they provided to Pie. Linda will forever be remembered to those who knew her for her tremendous love of life, her passion for travel, and her laugh which we will never forget. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. A reception will follow at a later date.
