On Friday morning, November 13, 2015, Brother Lewis Waldron was called from this life to his eternal rest. Brother "Sonny" as he was affectionately called was born in Covington, Virginia on May 1, 1952 to Edward and Beatrice Waldron, who preceded him in death. Brother Lewis was the youngest of eight children and is preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert, Alphonso, and Nathaniel; and one sister, Bernice Dooley. Brother Lewis was a member of the Wrightsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome Basham as the pastor. He retired from the Radford Arsenal and was currently employed at BAE. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving wife, Brenda; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Michael Gregory of Richmond; a son, Lewis (Eddie) Waldron, Jr. and his fiance, Inez Curtis of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Morgan and Jeremiah Gregory, and Javier Waldron; two brothers, Thomas and Delano Waldron of Covington; sister, Yvonne Young of Jersey City, N. J.; an only living uncle, Sylvester A. Brown of Eagle Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon with Rev. Eric Ramey officiating.
