Lee Junior Lawrence, 80 of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. He was a member of the Salem Church of God and was an electrician with Graham White Manufacturing Co. for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gertrude Tinley Lawrence, two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include his wife Joretta Hall Lawrence of Salem; two daughter and sons-in-law, Theresa and Bo Childress and Joyce and Bryan Scott Young, all of Salem; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve Lawrence of Roanoke, Donald and Laurie Lawrence of Bedford, and Roger and Rebecca Lawrence of Roanoke; ten grandchildren, Crystal and Chris White, Stephanie Lawrence, Sarah Lawrence, Joseph Cheatwood, Tracy Smith, Amanda Lawrence, Angie Strickler, and Bryan and Bryanna Young; ten great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Thalis and Glada Lawrence of Radford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jim Walker and Rev. Ronald Gore officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall Cemetery in Pulaski County. The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at Richfield Rehab and Recovery Center in Salem for all their kindness and support. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The Lawrence family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
