Leander Vernon Lewis, Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Radford on Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was a member of New Mount Olive United Methodist Church. Leander was born in Radford on December 15, 1960, the son of Lulabelle Snell Lewis and the late Leander Vernon Lewis, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Lulabelle S. Lewis of Radford; sister, Donna M. Lewis of Cornelius, N. C.; nephew, George E. Meeks III; and a host of other family, cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jenene Lewis officiating.
