Leamon Elster Smith, 74, of Blacksburg, formerly of Cedar Bluff, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his father, Berton Smith; mother, Draxie R. Justus Blankenship; wife, Rebecca Jean Parr Smith; sister, Dorothy May Childress; brothers, James "June" Berton Smith, Charles Smith and Bobby Allen Smith; and great granddaughter, Abigail Madison Ming. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Ann Smith of Lebanon; sister, Wilma Faye Harris of Lynn Springs; brother, Jerry Smith of Honaker; nine grandchildren including his special granddaughter, Serena Ming of Radford; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
