Larry Caudill Williams, 70, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 surrounded by his family at his home in Radford. He was a retired deputy with the Radford City Sheriff's Dept. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post #30. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Palmer Williams; son Brad Williams of Christiansburg and his fiance, Cindy Robertson; daughter, Wendy Williams of Blacksburg; granddaughter, Marisa Ally Ayers of North Carolina; and special cousins, David and Cindy Bridges. The family wishes to acknowledge with sincere gratitude our thanks to all of those whom have provided love, care, comfort and support through his lengthy illness. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Webster officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 8th at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Legion Post #30 or the D. A. V. The Williams family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
