Robert Larry Phillips, 68, of Radford, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2010. He was a semi-retired minister at The Radford Church of Christ with over 31 years of service there and 46 years total service in the ministry. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley Faye Gower Phillips of Radford; a son and daughter-in-law William Troy and Stephanie L. Phillips of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law Laura Elizabeth and John P. Croft of Radford; two grandsons William Wyatt and James Conner Phillips; and an aunt Gertrude Goolsby of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the The Radford Church of Christ with Mr. Rudolph Shelburne and Mr. Dennis Curd officiating. Interment will follow at the Indian Creek Church Cemetery in Indian Valley. The family will receive friends from 3 pm until 6 pm Saturday at the church building.
