Lakey June Cox Franklin, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her home in Radford. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Bill Franklin of Radford; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Farmer of Radford; sons and daughters-in-law, William D., Jr. and Dreama Franklin of Radford and Barry and Deanna Franklin of Covington, GA; sisters, Alma Neece of Radford and Clestie Adams of Dublin; and 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson and Rev. Tom Franklin officiating. Interment will be at 11 am Friday at the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Carilion Hospice, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. The Franklin family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
