Kimberly Lynn Jones, 12, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her home in Radford after spending an evening of card games and movies with her family. A true cowgirl and young lady, Kimberly inspired strength and determination in all those who had the pleasure of her company. She could hold her own in the rodeo ring with Mom and brother, Josh, hunt with Dad and Josh and yet shop with Mom, and accessorize and do nails with Aunt Jennifer. Kimberly was a member of Heritage Church in Dublin, a member of the VA. Jr. Rodeo Assoc., and a Bobcat at Dalton Intermediate School in Radford. She loved playing basketball with her friends at the Rec Center, spent countless hours texting with her friends and family and loved playing practical jokes. Kimberly leaves so many people to cherish her memories. Her parents, Larry and Janet Jones; big brother Josh; grandparents Alfred and Myrtle Hughett, and Hensel and Lucille Jones; several aunts and uncles, with special love from Pierce and Jennifer Viers, Doug and Patsy Jones, and Tony and Dana Nicolo; numerous cousins and many, many dear friends. A Celebration of Kimberlys Life will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2 pm at the Heritage Church in Dublin with Pastor Mike Sweeney and Rev. Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery in Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday evening at the church.
