Kathy Michele Thomas, 58, of Radford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary L. Thomas, Sr.; and her grandparents. Michele was a lifelong resident of the Radford area. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in that profession for many years. Michele was also an animal lover, especially of cats. She is survived by her mother, Drema B. Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Gary L. Thomas (Susan); nieces and their spouses, Andrea T. Barker (Ethan) and Mary T. Burks (Marcus); great nephew, Archer W. Barker; feline companions, Tap and Curious; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends too numerous to mention. Micheles family would like to thank the officers of the Radford City Police Department, the Radford E.M.T.s, and the staff of her apartment complex for assistance at this time. Per Micheles request, she will be cremated, and an immediate family gathering will be held.
