Kathleen Courtney Kat Wright age 81 of Radford, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at her home. She was a retired employee of AT&T and was a member of Carter St. United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Bessie Meyers Courtney, husband, Harold Lloyd Wright, and two sisters, Lorraine Bralley and Margaret Umberger. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Dana W. and Ned Pugh, Christiansburg, and Joanie C. Wright, Pulaski; four grandchildren and their spouses, Terri and Gary Dempsey Herndon, Va., Jeff and Susie Pugh, Woodbridge, VA, Stephanie Greer, Roanoke, Ashley Greer, Charleston, SC.; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes Reynolds, Wytheville, Irene Matthews, Ivanhoe, Katherine McRoberts, Max Meadows, Josephine and Thomas Dalton, Ivanhoe, Betty and Frank Ashford, Ivanhoe, and Janice Horton, Ivanhoe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Terri Gregory officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Carter St. United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 3296, Radford, VA 24143 or to the Carilion Hospice Services, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Wright family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
