Judy Marie Trail Carper Sarver, 72, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home in Radford. She was retired from Alliant Tech. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jeannie Trail; sisters, Eleanor Myers, Nancy Viers, Cora Simpkins, Jeanette Duncan Dickerson and Frances "Polly" Harris; and brother, Dan Trail. Survivors include her son, Paul Douglas Carper, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Ronald and Susan Carper Bruintjes of Christiansburg and Tammy and Daniel Hawthorne of Augusta, Ga.; granddaughter, Diana Marie Bruintjes; and brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Hattie Trail of Radford, Thomas and Mary Jane Trail of Radford, and Bob and Loraine Trail of Sumpter, S.C. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Central United Methodist Church in Radford with Pastor Don Shelor officiating.
