Joyce Testerman passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Methodist Church in Childress and retired from the fire department at the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart Lonnie Roop and Stella Reynolds Roop Lawrence, her uncle, Manuel Reynolds, and sister, Cherokee Roop Cook. She is survived by four daughters, Deborah Testerman Stone and husband David Stone of Palm Harbor, FL; Constance Testerman McCardle and Joseph Flakowicz of Ossining, NY; Peggy Testerman Fowler and husband Charles of Bentonville, Arkansas; Susan Testerman McCoy Mitchell and husband Bob Mitchell of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Shannon Engle and husband Ben of Ozona, FL; John Michael McCoy and wife Jodi of Lebanon, VA; Samantha McCoy Stokes and husband Bryan of Chilhowie, VA; Paige Fowler and Dalton Fowler both of Bentonville, ARK; Wesley Michael of NY, NY; and Christopher Joshua McCardle of Westminster, MD; great grandchildren, Trace, Addison and Ella Engle of Ozona, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts. Per the "Queen's" request, services will be private.
