Joyce Hinkley Ritter, 74, of Radford, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013. She attended the Parrott Church of God and was retired from the Newport News Shipyard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Lee and Margaret Elizabeth Hinkley, her husband, Carlos Gene Ritter, and brothers, John, Roger and Lonnie Hinkley. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Marie Robinson of Newport News and Carla Jean Ritter of Dublin; son, Michael Ray Ritter of Newport News; brother, Kenneth Hinkley of Radford; sisters, Virginia Dunlow of Michigan, and Doris Caldwell and Diane Meredith, both of Dublin; and seven grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Brittany, Andrew, Jamie, Joseph, and Brenna; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Parrott Church of God with Rev. Robert Meredith, Pastor Kenneth Alley and Pastor Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Parrott Church of God. The Ritter family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
