Johnny Lee Walker, 59, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at his home in Floyd County. He was employed with Thermasteel. He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Hunley Walker, sister Patsy Whittaker and grandson Connor Walker. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law John J.C. and Dawn Walker of Dublin and James Tracy and Jamie Walker of Radford; the love of his life for 20 years, Carole Akers of Willis and her son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Stephanie Akers of Dublin and daughter and son-in-law, Kim and J. D. Owens of Christiansburg; his father Howard Clinton Walker of Radford; six grandchildren Tre Owens, Caitlyn and Koy Winemiller, and Brittany, Peyton and Shawna Walker; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Interment will follow Monday morning, November 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
